Tadaa!

Well I'm back from Val Marie, Saskatchewan. I took a lot of pictures. Here are some of them..

This is me wearing a respirator... -->

Below is a sunrise before going to work..

This is right before Prairie Dog mapping...

And this is a lot of cacti.....

I have more pictures, but if you want to see them, you have to come to my house.

Very lovely. Very lovely indeed.

Outdoor School has been SO awesome. I'm currently in Val Marie, Saskatchewan (not even an hour away from the U.S./Canada border). Reason? I'm working with a partnership program with Grasslands National Park and Prairie Learning Center. So I've been working at least 8 hours a day doing fairly weird jobs...I've been doing seed cleaning, Prarie Dog mapping, workshopping (if that's a word, but we're designing our own workshop), and being boreding. The population of Val Marie is about 130 and they watch a movie on Fridays and Saturdays for fun (one movie, two showings.) It's funny cause I don't even watch movies...Oh well. It's busy during the day, but during the evening, Kj (my partner who is here) and I basically listen to music, have baths, play keyboard...and sleep. Cooking too, but it usually doesn't take that long.

It's always windy here...Yesterday, I was in the Grasslands National Park (GNP) and this buck deer started walking towards me from a distance. It came closer and closer and my supervisor radioed me and was like "Jenna..watch that deer.." It was kinda creepy, but not long after she radioed me, it bounced off. Deer a fun to watch, they just kinda bounce a lot...anyway..

Random mental note: You know those old western movies with barren land and nothing but tumble-weed and abandoned buildings? That's what it's like here. Yes, there is tumbleweed (and it gets caught in bike tires, so I hear), many of the buildings here are closed down, the roads aren't even paved, there's almost no one around, it's always windy so things are always creaking or slamming or something, and since it's almost winter, it's been getting dark a lot quicker. On the bright side, there's no snow yet but it still gets pretty chilly. Anyway, life has been very, very interesting here...I hope to hear from whoever reads this.

I've been very busy. I think Nathan is more at my house than I am. He's right behind me in the process. He's happy because this hasn't happened before. "You're like my best friend." Wait, he went to go answer the phone.

Quote of the day:
"Well. One thing about losing my glasses, looking at you guys is more tolerable!"
-Nathan Wolfe

He laughed. He thinks he's funny. El gaspo. "Haha, what? What's el gaspo? Okay, stop doing that. Quit quoting me! That's it, I'm going to jump out the window! Problem is, we're in the basement. Wow, you're a fast typer, will you stop that?! *munch munch*"

I'm out. Fare thee well.

Summah

Summer is over...it was awesome while it lasted. My summer was really really really busy and I thought I should update everyone on what I was doing and stuff...

Alright. Well like, 2 days after school got out, most of my family (aside from Luke and James) took off to Southern Ontario. It was...4-5 day drive (I can't really remember exactly..they kinda all blurred into one.)..so yeah, I was there for like, 11 days...I visited a bunch of relitives on my dad's side. I actually really really really enjoyed it. I guess if I had really wanted to, I could've stayed home, but I didn't want to, and I'm glad I didn't stay home. So yeah, after that, we went through the northern-ish states (dem crazy emericans) to Manitoba where I was at a conference thing...so I met a bunch of people and that was pretty cool. (That lasted for like, 3 days)..After that, I went home (and drove for like, 4 hours =D)..We also passed through "Melfart" and stopped by Extra Foods, but we never saw anyone we knew =(..so that was unfortunate.

After that, I stayed home for a week-ish...then I took off to camp for two weeks. The first week, I was a counsellor with Tammy and I had only 3 girls in my cabin (it was a small week..). Brooke, Veronica, and Cassie...That went really well. I was friends with all the other counsellors and we had a great time...The second week I was a camper at a youth camp (even though everyone thought I was a counsellor anyway)..I played Billy that week and I was in Karina and Kristi's cabin. It was the best. I had also sprained my ankle like, twice at camp..so it was puffy and stuff, but I kept walking on it...

Again, I went back home for a few days..then I took off again to a small college in Northern Alberta (KBI) for a conference. From there, about 30ish people ages 12 to 23 all went on a bus on a trip to Calgary and Banff, Alberta...I had the time of my life. We climbed the mountain (if you wanna call it 'climbed'..there was like, a trail =P) and then we rode down in the Gondola...so yeah. It was awesome. I forget which mountian, it starts with a S if you wanna know...maybe Sulfur Mountain or something.

Anyway..so after that I came home and had like, a day or two to relax..then I had a birthday party...I just invited a bunch of people to hang out and they did..so yeah. It was so much fun =D

After that I had like, a few days again..and then school started. I'm actually looking forward to school this year because I'm in a program called Outdoor School. It's sooo awesome .. but we're gonna be on lots of trips and stuff...so yeah. It's so fun so far and I love it..so if I randomly disappear, that's probably why...Anyway, yeah. I'm running out of time so goodbye to anyone who actually still comes to my blog..=)

Randomess

Yeah. Randomess. Even though that isn't really a word. So Nathan called and told me to put another quote on my blog. Besides that, I'm looking forward to a whole lot of sleep and such. Woot. Hmm...gotta get more quotes...

Quote of the day:
"Suddenly, the door knocked. Now, I bet you were wondering where that door came from, and that has a simple answer. You see, this door came from Indonesia (which is the capital of Gigglyspam) to see the latest in tennish shoes. I bet you didn't know that Indonesia was the capital of Gigglyspam. Neither did the other James."

Word of the day:
Foncused (Fon - que - z'd)

The equivalent to 'Confused', except, of course, with the C and F switched. Cause that's just Jenna being Jenna.

Yo

I dedicate this post to Nathan.

...Really, I do.

It's his birthday...He's 22 now! I think. Maybe 21. Wait, no, 22. I think.

I'd sing appy birthday to you in french on here, but I don't know how to type french. Next time you see me, ask me to say it, cause after all, je ne parle pas francais.

Heh...hehehe.

So.
Appy birthday to you (whoo)
Appy birthday to you (whoo)
Appy birthday dear Nathannnnn....(My new best friend..!)
Appy birthday to yooooou. (..whoo?)

Yay. Now you can show your friends at work that I do, in fact, update my blog every few years.

...Almost

Random Quote Of The Day (Or Year): "I've always had a hard time picturing hamsters in the wild. I get this mental image of a horde of them devouring a cow or something."

Yap. Indeed.
